Tenunan Warisan : Cultural Hub

Tenunan Warisan is a vibrant cultural hub dedicated to preserving and celebrating Sarawak’s rich textile heritage, especially the intricate art of Pua Kumbu weaving. It weaves together tradition, community, and creativity, ensuring these time-honoured crafts continue to inspire future generations.

The architecture draws inspiration from the weaving process, embodying continuity, layering, and connection through thread-like structures, interwoven spatial patterns, and traditional motifs reimagined in the façade and latticework.

Nestled within a lush, green site, the center harmonises nature and architecture, with open plaza and pathways encouraging exploration and interaction. Inside, interactive galleries, craft workshops, and performance spaces provide immersive experiences that educate, engage, and empower.

Tenunan Warisan is a celebration of Sarawak’s living textile traditions; modernity, heritage and innovation are beautifully woven together.
