Ruma Gentayangan
“YouthBeat Hub" is designed to capture the essence of a vibrant and dynamic space in Klang that resonates with the energy and pulse of Klang’s youth. The concept began as a unique response to the urban environment that surrounded the site. The challenge was to create a node that captured the energy of the busy urban area and connected the tranquil area to the recreational area.
Ruma Gentayangan, means a place to stop or stay for those who walk here and there. With that, the aim of the tourism haven is for the public to utilize the whole haven whether they are just a stopper or staying in.
Healing in nature. A concept intending to provide a place to stay and rejuvenate after a long day doing activities. It was found that there is no green area in Pekan Kuah, Langkawi.
Green areas in cities mitigate the effects of pollution and can reduce a phenomenon known as the urban heat island effect. Besides, spending time in nature has been found to help with stress and boost a person's mood. This building aims to connect the greeneries to the surrounding urban context and create a rejuvenation social place that is accessible to the public to stop by.
